EN 12390-5 Testing of Hardened Concrete, Part 5: Standard Test for Flexural Strength of Test Samples

EUROLAB laboratory provides testing and compliance services within the scope of EN 12390-5 standard. This standard specifies a method for determining the flexural strength of hardened concrete specimens.

EN 12390-5 Testing of Hardened Concrete, Part 5: Standard Test for Flexural Strength of Test Samples

Prismatic specimens are subjected to a bending moment by applying load through the upper and lower rollers. The maximum sustained load is recorded and the bending strength is calculated.

Wipe clean all bearing surfaces of the testing machine and remove any loose particles or other foreign matter from the surfaces of the sample that will come into contact with the rollers.

All cylinders will be made of steel and have a circular cross-section of 20 mm to 40 mm in diameter. It must be at least 10 mm longer than the width of the test specimen.
