This standard also includes two test methods for thermal performance characterization through whole system testing.
Factory-made solar heating systems are bulk products with a single trade name with fixed configurations and sold as complete, ready-to-install kits. Systems in this category are treated as a single product and evaluated as a whole.
If a factory-built solar system is modified by changing its configuration or replacing one or more of its components, the replaced system is considered a new system that requires a new test report.
