EN 13745 Surfaces for Sports Fields - Test for Determination of Specular Reflection

A parallelized beam of incident light is directed to a test piece from the spore surface mounted in an integrated sphere, and the total reflected light is detected by a photocell.

The light entry port and the sample port are both centered on the same great circle of the sphere with an arc of at least 170° between the center of the light entry port and the center of the sample port. The axis of the irradiation beam will pass through the centers of the light entry and sample ports. The sample mouth should not exceed 4% of the internal reflecting area of ​​the sphere and should form an angle of 8° at the center of the sphere.

The maximum angle that this ray makes with the axis of any ray must not exceed 3°. The beam should not be vignetting at either port of the globe. The cross section of the beam at the sample port will be approximately circular, sharply defined and concentric within the port, leaving a 1,3° ± 0,1° ring at the inlet port.
