EN 15534-4 Composites Made from Cellulose Based Thermoplastics - Floor Covering Tiles

This European Standard covers the properties of flooring profiles and tiles made of cellulose-based materials and thermoplastics, often called wood-polymer composites (WPC) or natural fiber composites (NFC), for external use.

This part of EN 15534 is applicable to extruded profiles as well as tiles produced by other plastic processing techniques such as injection moulding.

It does not apply to kits outside the scope of this part of EN 15534 (i.e. support rail profiles, cover strip profiles and hardware).

The type and content of the base polymer and cellulose-based material from which the material is produced will be declared by the manufacturer. Reprocessable or recyclable materials can be used in the production of profiles and tiles provided they comply with the provisions of this part of EN 15534. WPC materials are recyclable materials that can be processed in a material recovery process aimed at saving resources while minimizing harmful emissions.
