After 28 days, it is visually evaluated whether there has been a change in the material, whether the reinforcement has been peeled off or whether there has been a color change in the water.
After storage in a normal climate, the sample will be placed in a container of water for 28 days. During this time, the water should be moved slightly, permanently, with the help of a magnetic stirrer.
The component of the polymer bitumen emulsion must be conditioned for 28 days in a normal climate of (554 ± 23) °C and relative humidity of (2 ± 50) % according to ISO 5.
To achieve the specified dry layer thickness (4 ± 0,4 mm), the wet coating should be leveled with the aid of a frame or foil gauge at room temperature as specified by the manufacturer.
