PS will be an integral part of an I&HAS component or stand alone. Control functions of the PS may be included as part of the PS device or provided by another I&HAS component, for example a CIE. This European Standard is not applicable when PS requirements for I&HAS components are included in the relevant product standard. Requirements are given for all four environmental classes covering indoor and outdoor applications.

This European Standard specifies equipment operating conditions and reduced functional testing for EMC susceptibility testing as required by EN 50130-4, except for the EMC Directive, Low Voltage Directive, etc. It does not address the requirements for compliance with EC regulatory Directives, such as Other I&HAS-related functionality not specified in this standard may be provided. Such functionality will not affect the requirements of any mandatory or optional functionality.
