If rock anchors are manufactured from a combination of different materials, the materials will be chosen to prevent galvanic corrosion. The use of polyester type glue is not recommended.

Depending on environmental factors, rock anchors can potentially be damaged by:

  • Corrosion;
  • Stress Corrosion Cracking (SCC).

If a rock anchor or a solid rock anchor is equipped with a rope attachment point, the rope attachment point shall have a minimum thickness of 9 mm. The material of the rope attachment point will be the same as the rock anchor to which it is attached.
