Conveyor belts covered by this European standard and intended for use in flammable environments are designed for use in conveyor belt installations (machines in mines).
This European standard cannot be applied to light conveyor belts as described in EN ISO 21183-1 or to conveyor belts manufactured before the date of publication of this standard by CEN.
When the provisions of this type C standard differ from those specified in the type A or type B standards, the provisions of this type C standard take precedence over the provisions of other standards for machinery designed and built according to these provisions.
