The standard applies to all geotextiles and geotextile-related products.
Cut the samples to represent the material to be tested. Measure samples with 0,5% accuracy. If the structure of the product is such that a 100 cm² sample is not representative, it may be necessary to use a larger sample size to achieve the required measurement accuracy.
Geotextile-related products with relatively large mesh sizes – such as geogrids or geonets – will be cut midway between the two links of the constituent elements. A sample must contain at least 5 constituent elements in both directions. The area of the sample will be determined separately for each sample.
