Tests in accordance with ISO 1924-2 always include the measurement of tensile strength. Measurement or calculation of other features is subject to agreement between the parties involved.
ISO 1924-2 is applicable to all paper and board, including papers with high breaking stress, if the results are within the capability of the testing machine. It also applies to corrugated cardboard components, but not to corrugated cardboard itself.

The fixed elongation rate applied in this part of ISO 1924 (ISO 1924-2) is 20 mm/min, while the fixed elongation rate applied in ISO 1924-3 is 100 mm/min.
This section of ISO 1924 and ISO 1924-3 will not give the same results, as the results of the tensile test depend on the applied elongation. The velocity dependence may vary with the paper quality and is different for tensile strength, strain at break, tensile energy absorption and modulus of elasticity.
