ISO 23529 specifies general procedures for preparing, measuring, marking, storing and conditioning rubber test pieces for use in physical testing as specified in other International standards, and the preferred conditions for use during testing.
Special conditions applicable to a particular test or material or simulating a particular climatic environment are not included, and special requirements for testing all products are not included.
ISO 23529 also specifies requirements for the time interval that must be observed between shaping and testing rubber test pieces and products. Such requirements are necessary to obtain repeatable test results and to minimize disputes between the customer and the supplier.
