EUROLAB laboratory provides testing and compliance services within the scope of ISO 2846-1 standard. ISO 2846-1 specifies the color and transparency characteristics that each ink must meet in a process color ink set for proofing and production printing using offset lithography.
The specified printing conditions (using a laboratory printability tester), the substrate defined, and the method of testing to ensure compliance are also defined. Specifications are specified for inks used for sheet fed, thermosetting web and radiation curing processes.
ISO 2846-1 does not apply to fluorescent inks and does not specify pigments, so as not to hinder developments that could enable the advantageous use of different combinations of pigments and at the same time fulfill colorimetric requirements.
