EUROLAB laboratory provides testing and compliance services within the scope of ISO 7240-4 standard. ISO 7240-4 specifies requirements, test methods, and performance criteria for power supply equipment (PSE) for use in fire detection and alarm systems installed in buildings.
This document is intended for guidance purposes only for testing other types of PSE. PSE with special features developed for specific risks is not covered by ISO 7240-4.
This standard has been prepared on the basis of mandatory functions to be provided in all PSE and optional functions that may be provided. The options are intended to be used for specific applications and meet fire detection and alarm system design objectives.
Each optional function is included as a separate entity with its own set of associated requirements to allow PSE with different combinations of functions to comply with this document. Other functions related to fire detection and fire alarm may also be provided, even if not specified in this standard.
