The Highly Accelerated Life Test (HALT test) and the Highly Accelerated Stress Screening (HASS test) provide effective and reliable methods to combine multiple types of tests into one comprehensive test program.
EUROLAB's HALT test and HASS test capabilities combine high temperatures with random vibration to evaluate performance and durability. In addition to testing completed components, the HALT test is often used in R&D and design validation to predict problems before they occur and to avoid costly errors that may occur in full-scale tests or on site.
HALT test it also provides important information about the performance of finished systems. Engineers simulate real world conditions to reveal hidden flaws before shipping the product to the market. By monitoring system performance throughout the testing process, EUROLAB can provide important details about structural vulnerability, thermal reactions, lifetime and more.
EUROLAB's HALT testing and HASS testing capabilities are designed to support a variety of high-quality testing programs, while controlling cost and reducing time to market. Our engineers will work with you to design and run a test protocol that provides accurate and reliable results while helping you stay on budget and meet your contract requirements.
Since it is based on accelerated conditions, the HALT test can be done quickly using very few product samples. Most HALT programs use a combination of thermal and broadband multi-axis random vibration, but other conditions (such as humidity and voltage) can be applied.
There is currently no industry standard for the HALT test. However, the following voltages are generally applied to one or more test samples that are functionally monitored up to the fault:
Highly Accelerated Life Test (HALT) and Highly Accelerated Stress Scanning (HASS) provide effective and reliable methods to combine multiple types of tests into one comprehensive test program.
EUROLAB's HALT test chambers can combine high-speed thermal cycles with six degrees of freedom with triaxial vibration (6 DoF).
