Cruelty-Free Product Label/Certificate

Consumers sometimes look for the use of claims like "Cruel Free" or "Not Tested on Animals" in cosmetic labeling, the labels from our lab definitively prove this claim to be able to use the Cruelty-Free label in collaboration with V-Mark. Some cosmetic and pharmaceutical companies promote their products with such claims in their labeling or advertisements. Since these terms do not have legal definitions, unlimited use of these terms is possible by cosmetic and pharmaceutical companies.

Basic biological research constitutes the most common use of animals in experiments around the world. These experiments are designed to answer 'interesting' scientific questions that animal researchers think could be medically useful in the future. It does not involve testing new drugs for humans or other animals and is entirely voluntary.

Many raw materials used in cosmetics were tested on animals years ago when they were first introduced to the market. A cosmetic manufacturer may only use these raw materials and base their "cruelty-free" claim on the fact that the ingredients or products are not "currently" tested on animals.

Experiments using genetically modified (GM) animals cannot fully mimic complex human diseases, particularly those caused by lifestyle and environmental factors rather than genetics, such as cancer and heart disease.

The use of genetically modified animals (GM) has been an increasing trend over the past 30 years, and although the exact scale of GM animal use is difficult to determine, it is clearly responsible for the year-over-year increase in animal numbers worldwide.

Cruelty Free regulatory testing determines whether drugs, chemicals (including paints, paints, inks, petroleum products, solvents, tars and waste materials), pesticides, biocides, food additives, cosmetics and other products are safe to use and whether they are safe to use. are standard tests designed to see

In these experiments, animals are forced to eat or breathe substances, or to rub them against their skin or inject them into their bodies. The animals then undergo further monitoring and testing before they are almost always killed, so researchers can look at the effects on their tissues and organs.

EUROLAB successfully encourages removing tests that are no longer necessary from legislation and guidelines and adopting non-animal methods that have been shown to be safe and effective.

However, progress has been slow and much remains to be done. For example, hundreds of thousands of animals continue to be used worldwide for testing where non-animal methods are available.

EUROLAB presents the Cruelty-Free logo to its customers with the approval of V-Mark.
